 A premonition is most simply defined as a strong feeling that something (often unpleasant) is going to happen in the (typically near) future.
These are generally feelings that most often strike when a person is awake but with no real specific knowledge of what the event to pass is.

 Holidays and celebrations are times when we may really think about those who are closest to us who have passed away - gatherings of family and friends that are typically dotted with conversations and reminiscing about those who are no longer here. They are also times of great energy, rejoicing, happiness and remembrance.
... and sometimes some of us get an extra visitor or two...  Electronic Voice Phenomenon, EVP (as it will be referred to from now) is the label given to voices and sounds caught on ( mostly electronic ) recording mediums.
These voices are said to be communication from ghosts, spirits and other entities, some of which do not have an earthly origin.  Many people who have been on the brink of death and some of those who have been clinically dead have reported many strange experiences. Reports range from out of body experiences to a tunnel of light, a sense of well-being, relief from pain, and visions of loved ones who have already passed.
These experiences along with many others are collectively referred to as 'near death experiences' or NDE's.  Have you ever taken a photo of a ghost?
Ghost photos at times can be quite interesting to look at. Over the years I have seen many photos that contain an alleged ghost or two. It is always tricky to determine if what is captured is indeed a true ghost photo or just one or a combination of natural phenomena that conspire in our minds to be interpreted as paranormal.  It is always an interesting thought, and one that would be really interesting to get an answer too... but It would probably not be the greatest thing, to walk up to your old home, knock on the door (or leave a note) and ask if the owner/tenants have had any strange experiences there that might correlate with your own.
But have you ever wanted to find out anyways?  Many people have reported strange scents/odours that do not seem to have a natural point of origin.
Although there are many 'natural' reasons why a 'new' odour might present itself at a location, people who have experienced 'phantom smells' tend to have the opinion that they are ghostly/spiritual in origin.  Peoples experiences with visual paranormal oddities cover a very wide range indeed - from barely visible distortions in the environment, to full blown manifestations that look as flesh and blood as you and me.
If so, what did your ghost look like?  A disembodied voice is a voice you hear with your own ears, without any form of electrical interface (ie not through a voice recorder, ghost box etc though it may also be picked up by these devices) that comes from a suspected ghost of spirit source.
Much of the time this may be a message for the listener but may also be in the form of the listener 'eavesdropping' on a conversation that took place long ago...  Dictionary dot com defines a UFO as: 'any unexplained moving object observed in the sky, especially one assumed by some observers to be of extraterrestrial origin.'
