A disembodied voice is a voice you hear with your own ears, without any form of electrical interface (ie not through a voice recorder, ghost box etc though it may also be picked up by these devices) that comes from a suspected ghost of spirit source.
Much of the time this may be a message for the listener but may also be in the form of the listener 'eavesdropping' on a conversation that took place long ago...
