 In what has been dubbed the "Australian Ghost Ship Mystery", in April, 2007, the crew of a helicopter spotted a catamaran drifting off the Queensland coast of Australia.
They were to find circumstances on the vessel "strange" and the three man crew missing...

 On 18 November, 1978, nearly a thousand Americans died in incidents related to the Peoples Temple, led by Jim Jones in Jonestown - about a third of which were children included in this “revolutionary suicide”, as they called it.
They died of cyanide poisoning and gunshot wounds.  August 5, 1944, at least 1104 Japanese prisoners of war attempted to escape from a prisoner of war camp near Cowra, New South Wales, Australia, in the single largest and bloodiest breakout of World War II.
The war is long over but many believe ghosts remain from this event.  Death is a way of life. Some are murdered, suffer from accidents, die as nature intended, or take their own life. These two true stories pay tribute to ordinary people who died in the month of March in 1924.
One took his own life, and the other had hers tragically taken from her.  Jean Donovan was an American lay missionary who was brutally raped and murdered, along with three Religious Sisters – Dorothy Kazel, Maura Clarke and Ita Ford - in El Salvador.
They were killed by a military death squad, while volunteering to do charity work during the civil war there.  January 20 - 26: Approx. 830,000 people are killed during a massive earthquake in China. - Japanese sergeant Shoichi Yokoi is discovered hiding on Guam... 27 years after the Second World War had ended. - The third of the 'Cleveland Torso Murderer' victims is discovered.

January 13 - 19: 21 people are killed and 150 injured as a wave of molasses tears through a neighbourhood. - An English haberdasher is fined for breaching the peace and disturbing the balance of society... due to his hat. - A farmer finds a 'UFO nest' in Queensland, Australia.
Three unrelated stories of a strange, unusual or dark nature.  On Christmas Eve, 1945, after a series of strange events, the Sodder home went up in flames. Most of the family were able to flee, but five of the children are believed to have perished in the fire.
However, not everyone believes the missing Sodder children died that night.  Venture to some of the tunnels, abandoned houses and lonely roads of Pennsylvania and you might come across Charlie No-Face aka Green Man. He was left horrifically mutilated and with glowing green skin after a severe electrocution.
What is weird is that some of the story is true.  December 16 - 22:
