 Perfume Ghosts are said to derive through the olfactory sense. Either sweet or repugnant, this supposed entity makes itself known through smell.
People who experience this state that they are ‘suddenly aware of a smell’ that they are unable to locate the origin of.

 Faceless ghosts are believed to be unaware of their own identity. They borrow the looks of living people, melding their otherwise featureless expressions into the likeness of others.
They differ from dopplegangers in that they borrow the looks of many people, whoever they can get close to.  A haunting is typically defined as occurrences of anomalous activity at a location, or about an object or person that is attributed to a 'ghosts' presence.
This post looks more into hauntings of locations, but much of the information holds true to hauntings of people and objects.  A ghost is the manifestation of the spirit of a deceased person, or other living being. A ghost can haunt a person, object or place and can appear in many different ways.
It is typically in reference to a visual manifestation, though it can be extended to those that affect the other senses.  Electronic Voice Phenomenon - EVP - is the recording of an apparent 'ghostly' voice or sound, caught on sound recording technology.
These are thought to be voices from the other side, that recorders are sensitive enough to pick up, but the human ear cannot otherwise hear.  Fortean phenomena is strange, naturally occurring phenomena that science is yet to explain.
The term 'Fortean' comes from Charles Fort, a writer and researcher, who spent several decades in the early 1900's collecting and studying reports of events that lay beyond the accepted beliefs of the time.  In paranormal terms a doppelganger is a ghostly double of a living person. Viewing ones own or a member of the families doppelganger can portend illness, death or some other tragedy for that person.
A doppelganger may also be a spirit, taking on someone's form to cause mischief.  The word Cryptozoology means the study of hidden animals.
It is researching evidence that is thought to substantiate the existence of animals that are thought to be extinct, to only appear hypothetically in myths and legends, or are geographically out of place.  The Banshee is a female spirit who acts as a messenger from the 'Otherworld' - the Celtic home of the dead, and realm of the spirits - generally in the form of a harbinger of death.
To hear the Banshee's wail means that death will soon pay a visit to your family or someone close by.  "Automatic writing" is writing achieved without deliberation or conscious control. This can be through subconscious processes, or by acting as a medium for spirits or other supernatural forces.
