 There are tales of strange activity around Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. The story concerns a mother who lost a baby to the lake and now she must forever search for her child.
There is also a belief that this woman's spirit takes up residence in a nearby statue.  Not a lot is known about this photo showing a semi-transparent figure at the altar of the Saint Nicholas Church, Arundel, England. The photo was taken in the 1940s and is believed to have captured the image of a priest in robes, possibly at prayer.
