 Often people find writings left by previous tenants, etched into the surfaces of their home. Normally nothing more than a few words, a list, a number or two.
Rarely does someone find an entire novel, including illustrations, covering every wall, such as was found in this abandoned house in China.

 17 year old Carmen Winstead is pushed into a sewer and dies. Upon questioning, the guilty party lies, and the death is ruled an accident. Before long those responsible are found dead in the sewer, after being warned to confess.
Now those who are unwilling to spread the truth also face the same fate. Is there any truth to this chain letter / urban legend?  Those who travel along Ginninderra Drive, Charnwood, ACT, in the early hours of the morning may come across the local ghost.

 Although arachnophobia comes from the Greek word 'arachne', meaning spider, the fear also branches out to all arachnids, including scorpions.
An estimated 5% of people suffer from arachnophobia, but a much larger percentage of the population cannot avoid the crazy dance one performs after suddenly walking through a spiders web...  In July, 1518, a woman named Frau Troffea suddenly began to dance in the middle of a street in Strasbourg, France. Within a week, 34 people joined Troffea, and within a month, some 400 were caught in this dancing plague.
By the time this event was over, many would be dead from exhaustion...  Coulrophobia is defined as an abnormal fear of clowns. The term appeared in the mid 1980's, and is believed to originate from the Greek term for stilt walkers, and, of course, phobia - meaning fear or anxiety.
It is thought the fear itself comes from a revulsion of things similar to human form, yet exaggerated, or not perfect. Plus, clowns are just damned creepy...  The Paranormal Guide Investigation Team headed out to Troubridge Island after learning of the many tragedies that had taken place there.
We had not heard of any paranormal activity taking place on the island, but soon after arriving that all changed, as the team set in for two nights of investigations.  May 20-26: Outlaws Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow are ambushed and killed in their stolen Ford, Frederick Ward aka "Captain Thunderbolt" the gentleman bushranger is shot dead, and a mysterious boy named Kaspar Hauser appears on the streets of Nuremberg, Germany.
 Funerals in some cultures can be very large affairs.
In parts of Taiwan, it is not unheard of for funeral processions to be over a mile long, with marching bands, singers, street performers, the deceased's family and friends, people hired to openly and passionately wail, and... strippers? |
