Trypanophobia – Fear of Injections
Trypanophobia, also known as needle phobia, is the fear of injections, medical procedures including injections and hypodermic needles.
Not too many people would say they enjoy getting an injection, but those with this phobia have real fear, so much so that many avoid all medical treatment when possible, just in case a needle becomes involved.

Pediophobia, fear of dolls, is quite a common phobia. It falls into a similar branch of phobias as fearing robots, shadows and animatronic creatures.
Dolls are creepy, especially older, cracked and broken ones, but whereas someone may shudder when looking at these pictures, those with the phobia will have a much larger, negative, reaction.

Accidental Mummies of Guanajuato
In the city of Guanajuato, Mexico, there is a museum displaying mummified remains of those dug up after families were unable to pay the 'grave tax'.
As corpses were disinterred, it was discovered that a small percentage had been naturally mummified, and that a few had been buried alive.
Miyake-jima 'Gas Mask Island'
Miyake-jima is part of the volcanic Izu Islands located south of Honshu, Japan.
