Does the image change: a hint of a smile or deceit played out on the lips or maybe a smirk detectable in the eyes?
Can a spirit possess an image or is it just another story?
An Urban Legend
It was said that the image was created by a young Japanese woman shortly before commiting suicide. All of her sorrow, anger and grief was put into this image before she scanned and uploded it to a forum.
It is said that you can feel the emotions she carried in those last moments of her life. If you stare into the image long enough you will be drawn to the eyes and soon emotions of a deep sadness will overwhelm you.
The face is also said to change mirroring the emotions that you have begun to feel. The mouth will slowly morph into something a lot more sorrowful before the corners curl upward in a smirk just before you pull your eyes away.
Is the image somehow possessed with the spirit or essence of its creator?
Or is it all just an optical illusion?
This legend is very popular in Korea and the Eastern countries where it spread like wildfire soon after it was first reported.
