'Hand' me the remote (terrible...)
Many believed that it was yet another example of successful Instrumental Transcommunication (ITC). ITC is essentially the communication between 'spirits' and the living through electronic devices (EVP, Ghost Box etc are also methods encompassed into ITC). During the 1970's there was much experimentation going on and many people were claiming to pull images and audio through the static on television sets and also TVs that were turned off. By pointing a camera at a screen and looping the image, one could at times see some interesting images.
Many believed this 'ghost hand' image was one such case of ITC. The woman in question was living in South Minnesota and watched the hand appear on her set, which was unplugged - this fact prompted her to take the photo. Whether she was a researcher or not at the time is not known.
This photo has been cropped, with it said the original did have the husband in view - you can just see his shoulder in this one. Unfortunately I could not find the uncropped version.
Other people claim the photo might just be a burnt in image, pareidolia, reflection or a straight up hoax/image manipulation.
The only other piece of info about the photo is that the hand had actually appeared the year before at about the same time.
What do you think?
Does this photo show some form of communication between the dead and the living?
Could the image have been burnt into the screen or just be a case of pareidolia?
Or do you think it is a set up, a complete fake?
