On the night of July 17, 2005, a worker at a car impound lot in Oklahoma, USA, was watching the surveilance monitors. Her eye locked in on a screen, showing what looked like someone walking around the wrecks, searching for something. Confused, as the alarms had not gone off, she sent another employee to see who it was.
No one was found, no alarms triggered. It is believed the figure was the victim of one of three fatal car crashes that night, the wrecks having been towed to the yard.

Suddenly, on one of the closed circuit cameras an image appeared of a person walking amongst the cars, seemingly looking in the windows, as if looking for something.
The alarms had not gone off, even though the lot had long been closed for the day. If anyone had set foot inside the yard, sensors would have picked them up and triggered the alarms.
Another worker was sent out to investigate, but upon reaching the scene, there was nobody there. They had disappeared from the cameras also. The gates and fences were secure, and still no alarm had been tripped.

Still as appeared on video. After watching the footage, many people believed it was the 'ghost' of someone who had died in a car crash. The impound lot had taken in three wrecked vehicles that had been involved in fatalities that day, so perhaps it was one of those deceased?
One family came forward, believing the footage showed their daughter, who had been involved in a crash nearly three weeks earlier. The pick-up track that she had died in, was in the car impound lot, at the exact place the image seems to be circling. The truck had only been moved from the location a few days before hand.
The video made many networks, with news covering the story across the US. It was not long before professionals started to analyse the footage.

Attempts to debunk the footage also were not quite successful in convincing believers. Most comprised of dangling a doll on a string in front of the camera. Although this footage showed a similar shape and sized figure, it was unable to correctly replicate the semitransparent sections and the movement. Of course, it may have been hoaxed in other ways, but no one has done a convincing job of fully calling it out yet.
So was the ghost that of the woman, whose truck had only been removed shortly prior to the surveillance camera capturing the apparition?
