Not a lot is known about this photo showing a semi-transparent figure at the altar of the Saint Nicholas Church, Arundel, England. The photo was taken in the 1940s and is believed to have captured the image of a priest in robes, possibly at prayer.

Ghost Priest?
The ghostly image at the altar. Photo has been cropped and zoomed. Asides from what is written on the picture itself not a lot is known about this photo. The year it was taken is thought to be 1940, the location is known due to details in the picture itself but I could not find the name of the photographer.
However what is known is that the church does have a few resident spooks including that of a priest who is believed to have killed a local squire (the church was built in the 1300s and the town is overlooked by a castle).
Other ghosts include that of a lady in brown who is seen in the motion of cleaning but disappears when people get too close. She is thought to have been completely devoted to the church and continues her duties even after her death in 1907.
As for the picture it certainly looks like a priestly figure in robes, hands possibly placed on the altar with the head bowed. Other people see different things however so please comment with your thoughts.
