Trana shares with us her story, how she uses her gift and tells of two emotional encounters with lost and trapped souls.
A Gift
They left behind chaos rather than peace and calmness.
It just didn't seem right, but I had no idea we could help lost souls cross into The Light until a few years ago. I enjoyed the TV show Ghost Whisperer when it came out. Then one day I picked up a book written by the original medium upon whom the show was based: When Ghosts Speak by Mary Ann Winkowski. I found it fascinating reading and wished I had some of the same gifts that Ms. Winkowski had.
As happens sometimes, when I become aware of a different use for psychic skills, I seem to immediately run into situations where they might be useful. The first time I tried out this new gift, I found myself talking to a small child ghost. Nearly crying myself at how unhappy this little toddler was, I decided maybe I should try to help her cross over so she could be with those already passed and who loved her.
Although Ms. Winkowski didn't really mention any direction the souls should travel, I decided to gaze to the east. I actually held up my arm and waved my fingers side-to-side, asking for a door into The Light to open. Amazing me, I could see a break in the sky! A golden pathway flowed from the doorway down to the earth. I squatted beside the little girl and explained things to her.
I actually sensed and saw faint outlines of people in the doorway. The little girl's eyes got really wide and she nodded. Mama, she said to me mentally.
Until then I hadn't been sure her parents had crossed over, since she'd been too upset to tell me much. But I said, "Yes. She's waiting for you. All you have to do is walk up that path to be with her."
The little girl didn't walk. She ran, straight into her mother's arms. I could sense this happening as much as see it faintly, since this is the way the gifts I have work. Just before that door at the end of the path closed, however, I did see them clearly. The mother held the child in her arms and waved. I heard Thank You, in my mind.
Reuniting Spirit
One of the most emotional crossing overs I did was during an overnight investigation my Supernatural Researchers of Texas team did at the Beckham Hotel in Mineola, Texas, in April 2013. The hotel was built back in the late 1800's and even partially destroyed by fire once. It had been owned for the previous twenty years by a man who wasn't able to afford the remodelling he had planned, so it sat vacant for the most part until Connie Meissner bought in in December 2012. Connie was in the midst of remodelling, but she wanted my team to verify the ghosts and also see if they were happy with her intentions.
The night of our investigation, we set up cots and camping gear in the downstairs of the three-story hotel and became deeply involved in what we found. At 3 a.m., I finally laid down to rest on my cot, but couldn't sleep. At 4 a.m., one of my team members, Sarah Brigdon, came to get me.
"We've got a situation," she said. "We need your help." She led me to the vault, where her husband, Floyd, was engaged in a very emotional discussion with two ghosts. There were two extremely lost and unhappy souls in the vault. They were young, apparently star-crossed lovers who had been abused during their lives. They were upset, afraid, and actually holding onto Floyd's hands so hard he ended up with fingernail marks in one palm after things were over.
"Here's Trana," he said to the ghosts, then told me, "They want to cross over. Can you help them?"
"Of course," I murmured, keeping back my own tears at the emotions in the vault.
The two young souls came outside with us, and more than one person in our little group saw the door open, the light flow down to the side-walk in front of the hotel. More than one of us sniffed back tears, also, as the two ghosts held hands and ran up the path.
I have yet to cross over a soul that didn't pause a second to say Thank You, and this was no exception.
I hope that paranormal groups will stop and think when they are dealing with ghosts. These were once living people, and they deserve our respect, not confrontation.
I do intend to go into The Light when I die!
