 The Onryō are female ghosts who suffered at the hands of their lover. These ghosts dwell in the physical world seeking vengeance on those who wronged them. These ghosts are in their element when torturing their hurtful lover to the point of insanity or death.

 The Skunk Ape is a hominid cryptid - an upright standing, hairy, ape like creature which comes with its own nasty smelling fragrance.
Because of this it is also known as the Stink Ape. Reported mostly around Florida swamps, it has also been spotted in surrounding states.  Murmur is one of seventy two spirits of Solomon. He is also said to be a Great Duke and Earl of Hell.
Murmur is one of three demons that is said to sway over the dead and move corpses from grave to grave.  Legend tells of a half man/half goat creature, weilding an axe, stalking the woods and secluded roads around Beltsville, Maryland.
Several similar creatures have also been reported in Louisville, Kentucky, and Fort Worth, Texas. Is it all just tall tales or could there be more to it?  The Nasnas is believed to be the offspring of a ‘Shiqq’ and a human. A ‘Shiqq’ is a lower form of jinn (demon spirit), and is a half creature that is monstrous in appearance.
Hence, this crossbreeding resulted in the creation of a half human body, yet one that is still very agile.  Legend has it that La Lechuza (also La Lechusa) was a witch who was exposed for practicing magic.
The angry townsfolk went on a rampage and killed her. It is said she returned from the grave, hell bent on seeking revenge on those who murdered her... and intoxicated people.  This demon's taste buds leave a lot to be desired, as Eurynomus is said to feed off the rotting flesh of corpses, and his body colouration reflects that of a meat fly. Commonly depicted with a coat of fox fur covering his back, he is a sly parasite that feasts on dead pickings.  In the town of Smithfield, Rhode Island, there stood a tree that was said to be either haunted or cursed.
This 'Witch Tree' was located in the middle of an intersection, and was the cause for quite a few road fatalities. It's these deaths which are thought to fuel the trees haunting.  Stories of "Demons" lurking in lakes and lagoons have been shared throughout history.
A lake situated in British Columbia, Canada, is said to be the home of Ogopogo, a lake demon that has been seen for centuries and described as a large snake more than 50 feet long.  A fairly modern day evil spirit, the Popobawa is said to be responsible for sneaking into homes and sexually assaulting sleeping adults…apparently engaging with men more than women.
It is said that the odour of sulphur is present prior to an attack. |
