Stuart believes the image may be Eleanor Cooper, a young barmaid who drowned during the London Beer Flood of 1814. The Dominion Theatre stands on the site of the old Meux & Company Brewery, responsible for the 1.5 million litres of beer that burst from its holdings, flooding the nearby streets and killing at least seven people.
In January 2012, Stuart C took this photograph in the Dominion Theatre. Staring back at the camera, between the couple, is the image of a deathly pale girl.

Garth Homestead, in the Fingal Valley, Tasmania, is known not for the fear it puts into those who visit after dark, but rather the terror. It is a rare occasion indeed, for a paranormal investigator to last a full night. From a rejected mans suicide, to a drowned girl and her nanny, Garth has it all. It is unlived in, as those who have tried have never lasted long, always leaving due to the otherworldly inhabitants that do not like to be disturbed. Who could the spirits be that reside in the ruins? Once the largest resort hotel in the world, the Hotel del Coronado, opened in 1888, hosted the who's who of the world's elite, as well as being the playground for Hollywood stars. However in 1892, the body of a woman was discovered, with a gunshot wound to the head. It was later found out that the woman had used a fake name on check in and had no personal possessions in her room. Who was she and does she still haunt the Hotel del Coronado? This photograph of the Victor Goddard RAF Squadron and its support staff, was taken not long after the end of World War I. It was captured just a few days before the squadron was disbanded. Everyone was present, except for air mechanic Freddy Jackson, who had died a few days earlier when he walked into a propeller. The photo has captured the image of a young man (minus a hat) who was recognised as the dead mechanic. Did Freddy decide to appear in one last photo with his friends and comrades? in 1898, Morgan Robertson released 'Futility', a short novel that detailed the voyage of the 'Titan', an ocean liner which struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic Ocean and sank. Fourteen years later, the ocean liner RMS Titanic hit an iceberg in the North Atlantic Ocean and sank. There are many parallels between the two events, that stretch much farther than just a similar name and similar locations. Did 'Futility' predict one of histories greatest maritime disasters? Anneliese Michel died in her family home on 1st July, 1976 aged 23. For the previous ten months she went through more than sixty sessions of exorcisms to rid her body of the demon/demons said to have taken possession of her. After refusing food and drink through a belief of atoning for the sins of youth Anneliese succumbed to malnutrition and dehydration. Was it a true demonic possession or a medical disorder that afflicted her? 1 February 1974: Sao Paulo, Brazil wakes up to tragedy - one of its highrise buildings is a towering inferno. Of the 756 occupants in the building, more than half were injured, with 179 fatalities. Was the land itself cursed with murder and suicide, like many said? What is 'the mystery of the 13 souls'? What of the reports of hauntings which still exist throughout the building today? It is said that a young woman created, scanned and uploaded this picture shortly before she took her own life. The legend states that if you stare into the eyes you will not last five minutes before a feeling of intense sadness begins to overwhelm you. Does the image change: a hint of a smile or deceit played out on the lips or maybe a smirk detectable in the eyes? Can a spirit possess an image or is it just another story? Luna Park Sydney opened October 4th, 1935. The park enjoyed roaring trade up until the 1950's when numbers declined, mainly due to the increased popularity of television. But the park continued on, and in 1979 tragedy struck when a fire engulfed the ghost train killing seven, including two young boys. Some say there is an occult undertone to this event. Others say some of the spirits of those killed still remain on site. Aokigahara Jukai: The Sea of Trees, is a densely packed 35 square kilometre forest, that sits at the base of Mt Fuji in Japan. This eerily quiet place is known as the 'suicide forest' as up to 100 bodies per year are recovered, most utilising drug overdose or hanging as their means of death. Ribbon trails are sometimes left so the bodies can be more easily found. |
