Stuart believes the image may be Eleanor Cooper, a young barmaid who drowned during the London Beer Flood of 1814. The Dominion Theatre stands on the site of the old Meux & Company Brewery, responsible for the 1.5 million litres of beer that burst from its holdings, flooding the nearby streets and killing at least seven people.
In January 2012, Stuart C took this photograph in the Dominion Theatre. Staring back at the camera, between the couple, is the image of a deathly pale girl.

In this series of video stills from a surveilance/monitoring camera in a hospital, you can see what looks like a misty child-like human form, watching over a patient. However, there are at least three versions of who the person in the bed is, and what they are doing in the hospital: a sleep experiment, a dying elderly man or a terminally ill child. If it is, in fact, a spirit watching over the sick or dying, it is comforting to know that someone is with them, even if only in spirit. In 1959 (sometimes noted as 1956) Adelaide Presbyterian minister R.S. Blance was visiting Corroboree Rock, when he took a photo of the seemingly empty scene. When the photo was developed, he found the image of a person standing amongst the scrub, surrounding the clearing. What is so interesting is that people interpret the picture differently. What do you see when you look at it? "Will you foster an unknown child in your memory, and provide him with a name?” – Unknown February 25, 1957, the naked, battered body of a young boy, between 4-6 years of age, was found in a box in Fox Chase, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Investigators assumed the ‘Boy in the Box’ case would be quickly solved. Unfortunately, no one ever made a positive identification, and nearly 60 years later, ‘America’s Unknown Child’ still has not received his name. Over a five month period, knives, broken glass, lids, bottles and many other objects were thrown about in a house at Humpty Doo, NT, Australia. The picture above shows an assortment of the objects, collected after being hurled by an apparent poltergeist. The story became big news, and many investigators attempted to solve the case. One theory was that the spirit of a man who was still living was responsible. Another was that it was the spirit of a recently deceased friend. When Australian Band 'Wildland' filmed the music video for their self titled song, they did not expect to see a mysterious extra in the final product. Filmed in the deserted mining town of Glen Davis, New South Wales, the weather was bleak and the band and crew found the location to be eerie. Upon inspecting the finished product, they were shocked to find a ghostly extra, leaning against a concrete support, wearing dark clothing and a hat, yet missing a face. Luna Park in St Kilda, Melbourne, is the first of the four Luna Parks built across Australia. Opened in 1912, it only took a few decades before stories of a resident ghost began to circulate. Known as the 'Joker Ghost', this mischievous prankster had a habit of terrifying people on the rollercoaster, and appearing suddenly in the Ferris Wheel cages. But all too suddenly the appearances stopped. Who was this 'Joker Ghost'? |
