 At around Christmas time 1900, on a remote island, three men - Thomas Marshall, James Ducat and Donald Macarthur - disappeared without a trace.
Local legends and superstition claim the island has a long history of being connected to the world of the supernatural.

 Cattle mutilation is the apparently mysterious killing and (surgically precise) mutilation of cattle and other animals.
With a number of theories, earthly and un-earthly, having been put forward to answer this phenomenon, why are cattle mutilations still shrouded in mystery?  A sinister and hideous figure was said to stalk the streets of London in the 1800's, inciting fear due to reports of his supernatural abilities.
Described as being both 'devil-like' and 'gentleman-like' in appearance, was 'The Terror of London' one or more entities, and did he even exist?  For centuries, a number of aircraft, sea vessels and their crew are said to have disappeared without a trace, in an area off the coast of Florida.
Known as the "Devils Triangle" but more commonly as the "Bermuda Triangle", it is a location rife with danger and mystery.  In late January 1959, a group of hikers began their expedition to the remote Mt Otorten in the Northern Ural Ranges. When the group failed to return a search party was sent out, and what they discovered is still talked about today.
An enduring mystery, but has it been solved?  Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones star as secret agents defending humanity from the evils of the Universe in a successful series of films.
As for the reportedly real "Men in Black", who and what they really are, as well as their agenda, is enigmatic and speculative.  On Christmas Eve, 1945, after a series of strange events, the Sodder home went up in flames. Most of the family were able to flee, but five of the children are believed to have perished in the fire.
However, not everyone believes the missing Sodder children died that night.  In 1937 American aviatrix Amelia Earhart, along with her navigator, disappeared while attempting to circumnavigate the globe by plane.
In the decades since, many theories have been put forth as to their fates. Did they crash? Abducted by a UFO? Were they spies?  These killers got away with murder. The “Servant Girl Annihilator” raped, mutilated and killed back in the late 19th century. The “Zodiac” mainly focussed his rage on couples, shooting them or stabbing them to death in the 1960’s.
Neither were ever caught or punished for their crimes.  “All officers including captain are dead lying in chartroom and bridge. Possibly whole crew dead." Silence, then "I die." More silence.
These were messages received from the Dutch ship 'Ourang Medan', which was then located, boarded and a horrific scene was discovered. |
