 Pupa the Doll was made in the likeness of her owner, a young girl in Italy in the 1920s.
Pupa became that little girl's best friend and secret keeper, until the end of her life in 2005. Since then, Pupa has been kept in a display cabinet, which she does not seem to like at all...

 The discovery of a well-preserved mummy, made by tourists while walking on a mountain pass in 1991, was undoubtedly one of the most significant archealogical finds of last century.
Mystery has always surrounded the corpse, and some believe the remains to be cursed.  In the town of Smithfield, Rhode Island, there stood a tree that was said to be either haunted or cursed.
This 'Witch Tree' was located in the middle of an intersection, and was the cause for quite a few road fatalities. It's these deaths which are thought to fuel the trees haunting.  Bloomingdale Asylum was built on land now occupied by Columbia University.
Originally it housed and treated anyone deemed 'insane' or 'lunatic', but later only took on those who could afford to pay... unfortunately money did not equate to good or humane treatment.  Clara Harris was brutally murdered by her husband, Henry Rathbone in 1883.
Henry had descended into madness following the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. The couple were present when John Wilkes Booth killed Lincoln, and it forever changed the course of their lives.  For years the owners of Heale House in Devon, England, were visited by a mysterious ghostly Edwardian-era woman, who roamed their halls and bedrooms, as if looking for something.
A chance visit to a 'junk shop' provided the woman's identity and means to stop the haunting  Almost 60 years ago Hollywood star James Dean was killed while driving his Porsche 550 Spyder, cutting short a promising career.
He left behind a legacy of teenage rebellion and angst, but there are many who believe he also left a sinister curse, bestowed on the car he died in.  For six weeks, in 1913, Hull House in Chicago was swamped with people demanding to see the devil baby, who had been left there by distraught parents.
The legend of this baby swept through the city and country, as people ventured forth, to see the devil incarnate.  When dolls age they tend to look quite creepy - hair falls out, color fades, cracks appear and, at times, the eyes go missing. It is a natural process that comes with time and neglect. This doll is different. It has aged like a person does, though much more rapidly.
Many believe it to be haunted.  In 1872, the British-American merchant brigantine 'Mary Celeste' was found unmanned in the Atlantic Ocean. All clues show it had been left in a hurry, as the food and water supplies, along with passenger and crew personal possessions, were all left on board.
