This is a fantastic location for both an explore and investigation. This facility was operational from 1798 until 2011.

I was blown away by how much was left behind by the prisoners, in some cases it looks like they just upped and vanished!

Take a look!

Prison Life

I have been fortunate to be invited along to several investigations with the crew from Australian Paranormal Phenomenon Investigators (APPI) who host tours and investigations at this great location. What was great was being able to wonder around such a huge location.

There are many multi level, stone cell blocks on site with each filled with empty cells but in some cases personal belongings are left behind. I was able to see prisoners photos, their little libraries, art pieces (including many made from empty match boxes), home made shelving units for belongings... packets of noodles, coffee and sugar. It was just a really insiteful look into their lives within these walls.

As for ghosts... I did experience a number of strange things and these will be detailed in the album below. As always if you pick up anything from the photos or have any questions do not hesitate to post in the comments below!
