Just a short walk from where I live is the Dry Creek Linear Park. A quick stroll along the walking track will take you past several interesting buildings and a few old quarries.

I have investigated the reported ghost sighting previously so this journey was to get some photos so you can check it out.

Have a look.

Hard Labor

An awesome place to visit during the day or night. Dry Creek Linear Park sits behind Yatala Prison and the area was once used for the quarrying done by hard labour prisoners. Remnants of that era remain with old buildings and structures dotted along the walking trail.

What originally took me out there a few years back was a report on a forum, in which a local reportedly witnessed a ghost near the old quarries. They had been walking along the walking track and near one of the quarries, near the old powder magazine, they saw a man in older styled clothes walking about aimlessly before disappearing.

There have been deaths both in quarrying accidents killing prisoners and guards and also at least one poor chap who fell to his death.
