 The Grand Paradi Towers are considered to be one of the most desirable locations to call home in Mumbai, India.
However, this great reputation is tarnished by the large numbers of suicides - people jumping from their balconies - and the strange events that usually follow.

 Strange animals, people running out in front of cars to suddenly disappear, an eyeless man on crutches... these are just some of the experiences that terrify people travelling along the A75 Kinmount Straight.
This reputation gave rise to its nickname 'The Ghost Road'.  The woods, especially at night, can be a mysterious place, home to many creatures, beasts... and possibly more. There are those who claim to have experienced a sudden panic and anxiety, that bordered on terror, during stays in the wild places.
Have you experienced this?  It is not known exactly how many people died on North Brother Island during its time as an isolation and quarantine hopital, but we do know more than one thousand people lost their lives when a steamboat sank just off its shore.
The island and buildings now stand abandoned.  Zombie Road has quite a reputation as a place where shadowy figures and other non human entities have long been reported.
Gregory Myers of the Paranormal Task Force presents this piece on the history and deaths of one of the most haunted locations in the United States.  The Torrens Island Quarantine Station has quite a long history - that of a dairy farm, a world war one internment camp and as a quarantine station where crew and passengers of ships infected with disease were held, away from the rest of the population.
Have a read about this initial investigation.  In the early 1800's, strange events took place within a family vault in Barbados.
As the vault was opened for the internment of a new family member, it was found that the previous coffins had been moved, tossed about - not in the same state they had been left in previously.  Widely regarded as one of the world's most haunted locations, Old Changi Hospital has seen a lot of death and cruelty within its walls.
Built in 1935 as the Royal Air Force Hospital, it was later used as a prisoner camp and torture chamber during the Japanese occupation of Singapore.  In Huntsville, Alabama, adjacent to Maple Hills Cemetery is Maple Hills Park. Within this beautiful location can be found a small play area known locally as the 'Dead Children's Playground'.
It is believed that at night the children buried in the nearby cemetery claim the park for their play.  Purchased from local Native Americans in 1654, Hart Island has been used as a internment camp, drug rehabilitation centre, isolation hospital, several prisons, a lunatic asylum and more.
However, it is better known for the children and adults buried there, in the worlds largest tax funded cemetery. |
