 This picture has recently been circulating in the Australian media. It was taken at the Old Errowanbang Historic Wool Shed, just south of Bathurst, NSW.
Does this photo show the ghostly image of a young boy playing on the cart? Well it's not as simple as that...

 In the north of India, high up in the mountains, lies a glacial lake known as Roopkund. At times, when the ice melts, the skeletal remains of hundreds of people all killed during the same tragic event can be seen.
It is these remains that give Roopkund its other name - Skeleton Lake.  In the early morning darkness of August 27th, 1891, a steam train derails off Bostian Bridge into Third Creek, just two miles west of Statesville, North Carolina. Many are killed.
It is said that every year the phantom train repeats its final journey, playing out the crash again and again.  The LaLaurie Mansion is often cited as one of the most haunted buildings in New Orleans, Louisiana.
With a frightfully grim and macabre history painted by the torturous murders that took place with in its walls, it is little wonder this building has seen so many owners come and go.  Joliet has belonged to more than four generations of one family, for over a century. The doll comes with a terrible curse, yet the family does not dare part with it.
It is said the doll holds four souls, but that the number will inevitably grow, as the doll is passed from mother to daughter.  For one week in 1983, a young man by the name of Don Decker was the centre of a series of strange phenomena, which developed after the death of his grandfather.
Inexplicable mist and rain manifested around Decker - appearing inside a house, a restaurant and even a prison cell.  In 1967 Joan Lindsay wrote her eerie and mysterious work 'Picnic at Hanging Rock'. The story is about a class trip to Hanging Rock by the schoolgirls of Appleyard College.
During the trip several students and a teacher disappear, most never to be heard from again. But is it true?  The University of Toronto plays host to quite an interesting tale concerning one of the resident spirits. It is a tale of love, deceit, betrayal, murder and mystery.
A drunken chat with a mysterious stranger telling a fanciful story, one that proved possible, after the university was gutted by fire and flame...  Shades of Death Road in Warren County, New Jersey, has quite the grim name. Stories of murder, tragedy and plague all call this place home.
The mystery of the area escalated even more when thousands of polaroids of bound women were found on a nearby hillside.  Post Mortem Photography, also known as Memorial Portraiture, is the practice of photographing the recently deceased, usually in a way that creates the illusion of life through the posing of the body.
The photos would act as keepsakes, especially if the deceased was a child. |
